The Bachelor's Degree in Film at FX Barcelona Film School is a 4-year, on-campus program designed to prepare future professionals in the film and audiovisual industry. From the first to the last year, the program combines intensive practical training, real shoots, specialization, and personal projects so that upon completion you have a solid and competitive professional profile in the industry.

The main purpose of this program is for you to learn all the stages of cinematic creation — from screenwriting, production, film direction, cinematography, art direction, set design, editing to post-production — while also developing your creative identity and technical skills. Thanks to its highly practical approach, you will be ready to enter the film, television, or audiovisual entertainment industry.

You will learn by working on over 200 real shootings, in professional studios, with professional equipment, applying what you have learned from the beginning and accumulating experience in conditions similar to those of the industry.

The program is taught over 4 academic years, in person, with instruction in Spanish or English. The first two years offer a generalist training as a filmmaker, while the third and fourth years allow for choosing a professional specialization. Explanation of the curriculum:

1st and 2nd year: The foundations of cinema.
3rd and 4th year: Specialization

Cross-disciplinary training in all phases of film production: visual language, scriptwriting, camera, sound, directing, editing, basic post-production. During these two years, you will discover your vocation and which area you wish to specialize in. Focus on specialization. Depending on your choice, you will delve into film directing, production, and scriptwriting; cinematography; art direction and set design; editing and montage; post-production and motion graphics. Finally, internships in a company and a supervised final project.

Have interest in audiovisual culture, sensitivity to the arts of cinema, eagerness to learn in depth and make films.
Have a clear vocation towards the film and audiovisual sector, be motivated to work in film/entertainment.
