From FX ANIMATION Barcelona 3D & Film School, we are proud to announce that we have been awarded the RNE Sant Jordi de Cinematografía a la Industria for our contribution to the audiovisual world. The award ceremony will take place on April 29th at the CaixaForum in Barcelona.
The Sant Jordi awards by RTVE have recognized distinguished figures in the film industry in recent years. Among them are Isabel Coixet for The Bookshop, David Verdaguer for his role in Summer 1993 and Anchor and Hope, Laia Costa (Victoria), and Ana Belén and Imanol Arias for their respective careers. In 2019, the awards include Jorge Sanz, Antonio de la Torre, Bárbara Lennie, and the movie Champions.

An award for 12 years of work for the future of the audiovisual industry
The award represents an important recognition of the work done by FX ANIMATION for the growth and development of the audiovisual industry through the training of professionals in 3D, cinema, television, and the digital content sector in general.
Since the school's foundation in 2007, the educational offer has constantly adapted to the industry's changes, which is in a process of transformation and expansion. As explained by Fàtima Vilà, CEO of FX Animation, the award is an honor that "encourages us to continue advancing in the training of a sector in full growth that needs more professionals every day."

In this sense, almost all audiovisual productions require new digital creation techniques and specialized individuals like those trained at FX ANIMATION. The industry is currently experiencing a pivotal moment with an unstoppable revolution through streaming platforms.
In addition to the well-established platforms like Netflix or HBO, the launch of Disney+ at the end of 2019 with an expected investment of around $500 million in original content is already confirmed. Apple is planning something similar, having already hired top names like Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and J.J. Abrams, as well as Warner Bros.

Given this scenario of growth and demand for professionals, Fàtima Vilà points out that FX's education is clearly focused on these new paradigms, adapting "to the new technological environment, without neglecting the art of filmmaking." The main challenge, according to Fàtima, is to connect with emerging talent and "make new professionals visible", who are also the new viewers.
Projects and Success Stories at FX ANIMATION
One way to combine training, professional advancement in a booming industry, and visibility of talent is through the Señora X Productions project, FX ANIMATION's in-house production company. The goal is for it to become a springboard for students and alumniX, as well as a platform to showcase the works of the school's teachers.

Through Señora X Productions, the aim is to continue nurturing the film and audiovisual industry, as well as participating in productions alongside other channels. All this will soon materialize in an open digital platform that will serve as its own audiovisual catalog.
FX ANIMATION continues to strive for collaboration with leading companies in the sector and the generation of synergies, key aspects to adapt training to industry needs and facilitate the professional leap for its students.
