The Master's Degree in Advanced Specialization in Houdini for VFX is aimed at artists with previous experience in VFX with Houdini who are looking to deepen their knowledge in procedural modeling and advanced visual effects. It is structured in three quarters:
- First quarter: It covers the fundamentals of procedural modeling and advanced simulations (heightfield terrains, creation of procedural geometry, HDA tools, particle simulations, fire, smoke, and rigid dynamics).
- Second quarter: It focuses on fluid simulation (FLIP, Ocean Tools, foam, moisture maps) and advanced programming in VEX to control attributes, optimize geometry, and processes.
- Third quarter: The focus shifts entirely to professional production. Students develop a group project, simulating a real studio environment, managing pipelines, versions, and interdisciplinary collaboration. To conclude, they work on an individual final project, with creative freedom and technical supervision.
The master's degree is designed for advanced Houdini users and professionals in 3D, animation, or VFX, providing technical and practical training aligned with market demands. Upon completion of the program, students will have a solid technical-artistic portfolio, real professional experience, and the necessary skills to work in animation studios, film, or video game industry.
