The Advanced Master in Concept Art offers a progressive training to specialize in conceptual design and 3D development for film, animation, and video games.
It is aimed at conceptual artists and advanced concept art students who want to deepen their techniques and creativity for pre-production projects in film, video games, and animation.
- First trimester: The fundamentals of concept art applied to pre-production are studied, including interpreting scripts and creating sketches, references, and thumbnails. Artistic design of characters, environments, objects, and creatures in 2D and 3D is worked on, from the initial sketch to professional presentation. Additionally, advanced modeling, digital sculpting in ZBrush, texturing with Substance Painter, and lighting and rendering techniques with Arnold and Unreal Engine are taught.
- Second trimester: Creative cycles of interpretation and design are reinforced with more technical detail. Basic retopology in Maya is incorporated to optimize assets, and lighting and rendering are deepened with an emphasis on integration in engines like Unreal Engine. Visual presentation is also improved to meet professional standards.
- Third trimester: The entire creative and technical process is consolidated, with autonomy to develop detailed and refined conceptual proposals. 3D tools (ZBrush, Substance Painter, Maya, Unreal Engine) are refined, and a Final Project is completed integrating modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering, and presentation, reflecting the artistic and technical maturity of the student for their professional portfolio.
