  • Script creation: it is the original idea, the story that the filmmaker wants to bring to the screen. The scriptwriter's work lays the foundation for what will be the construction of the project.
  • Preproduction: in this stage, both scripts (literary and technical) are included, as well as the planning to carry out the subsequent filming. In this phase, casting is done, and the project's needs are outlined, taking into account both the means and locations as well as time.
  • Production and filming: it is the moment to carry out the filming of the movie, where the director films with their team. In this sense, production is key, as it will be responsible for providing technical material, sets, costumes, or coordinating the actors to be present on set.
  • Editing and post-production: this is the stage where all the filmed material is processed and edited to create the story to be told. Post-production includes all the VFX, color grading, and sound work that the film requires, both technically and creatively.

After the creative filmmaking process, the steps for the distribution and exhibition of the film begin.
