- FX ANIMATION has joined the 24th edition of MECAL, the International Short Film and Animation Festival of Barcelona. Just like in previous years, in 2022 we wanted to be part of the event to promote filmmaking culture and showcase talent, in collaboration with various entities and professionals in the industry.
- From March 24 to April 11, this renowned national and international short film festival brings us the best of the current film scene. Three weeks dedicated to cinema, featuring 350 short films divided into three categories, one per week: animation, fiction, and documentary. All accompanied by numerous simultaneous activities, various parallel themes, contests, masterclasses, conferences, and workshops, for 13 days of immersive cinema experience.

- Last Thursday, March 25th at 11 a.m., our students enjoyed the Stop Motion Masterclass taught by Sergio Lara, animator of 'Isle of Dogs' by Wes Anderson and 'Clay Kids' by Javier Tostado, among others. The event was broadcasted via Zoom in many countries, revealing the secrets of this frame-by-frame animation technique and exploring his career.
- This Thursday, April 7th at 6 p.m., we hosted a Masterclass with Lisa Berger on the search and use of archives for documentaries. In collaboration with The Barcelona Documentary Club, this monthly gathering welcomed professionals and enthusiasts alike to share their interests in this field.
- Throughout the festival, students and educators from the film industry have had free access to all short films and workshops, designed especially for filmmakers looking to enhance their knowledge of the art of cinema.

- FX ANIMATION has joined the 24th edition of MECAL, the International Short Film and Animation Festival in Barcelona. As in previous years, in 2022 we wanted to be present at the event with the aim of giving visibility to talent and promoting film culture, in collaboration with various entities and professionals in the sector.
- From March 24th to April 11th, this short film festival, a national and international reference, brings us the best of the current panorama. Three weeks dedicated to cinema, with 350 short films divided into three categories, one per week: animation, fiction, and documentary. All accompanied by a large number of simultaneous activities, numerous parallel themes, contests, masterclasses, conferences, and workshops, to fully experience 13 days of cinema.

As a film school in Barcelona, FX ANIMATION has organized several workshops open to everyone:
- Last Thursday, March 25th at 11 a.m., our students were able to enjoy at our center a Masterclass of Stop Motion given by Sergio Lara, animator of "Isle of Dogs" by Wes Anderson and "Clay Kids" by Javier Tostado, among others. An event that was broadcasted via Zoom in many countries, where he revealed the secrets of this frame-by-frame animation technique, taking us on a journey through his career.
- This Thursday, April 7th at 6 p.m., our next appointment took place, a Masterclass with Lisa Berger on the search and use of files for documentaries. Every month, in collaboration with The Barcelona Documentary Club, we have opened our doors as a meeting point for industry professionals and anyone wishing to share their concerns and interests in this field.
Furthermore, throughout the festival, students and teachers in the film sector have been able to enjoy all short films and workshops for free, specially dedicated to filmmakers eager to expand their knowledge of the seventh art.
