For all those filmmakers who want to focus their career towards the more technical and visual side of film production, at FX Animation Barcelona 3D & Film School we offer our Specialized Master's Degree in Direction of Photography in Barcelona. During two years you will prepare for the development of all kinds of shooting and post-production tasks with which you will perfect your personal skills within the workplace, learning to manage and motivate your team and leading large-scale projects.
You can become a director of photography for various sectors, such as the world of film, TV or advertising. You will master all types of lighting in any location, and learn how to color correct your projects in post-production. We have large format cameras, for VR and 360º, as well as several sets where you can put into practice all your skills and knowledge acquired.
What does a director of photography do?
The director of photography is the person in charge of coordinating the photography team and giving the necessary indications to maintain the quality of the light and the shots captured by the camera: movements, optics and framing. His mission is to convey the story through the images, generating emotion and maintaining coherence between the point of view and the atmosphere that is captured. He is a painter of light.
What does the cinematography training in Barcelona consist of
The training program is divided into two academic years:
- During the first year, you will be part of a team, actively participating in shoots with our Film Directing students and our associate producer SeñoraX. You will learn how to perform interior and exterior lighting tasks, as well as color correction.
- The second year is dedicated to the mastery of the different technologies that can be used for shooting. You will also learn about post-production techniques and you will carry out various projects of direction of photography in Barcelona. In addition, during this last course you will embark on the shooting of a feature film.
Who is it aimed at
The Specialized Master's Degree in Cinematography is especially aimed at those students who have advanced knowledge and regulated or unregulated studies within the audiovisual framework, and those with demonstrable self-taught training, or with professional experience, who want to deepen their knowledge of the subject.
